A word from Lou

My remembering

I was born in the Solomon Islands.
I was raised by Nature, grief, and the ones who came before me.
This is how I came to hold this work.

i Born in the Pacific

Where the ocean is a teacher

Born in the Solomon Islands, I have always felt a profound connection with Nature. Growing up in the South Pacific, my surroundings were a tapestry of Pacific Ocean, coconut trees, and lush markets filled with fresh fruit and vegetables.

Returning to our family village on Malaita Island — no electricity, dense jungle around us — I would spend my days swimming in crystal-clear waters, riding canoes, and exploring the tropical depths beneath me. My childhood was a seamless blend of nature's beauty and the simplicity of life in a remote village.

ii The Move

A new land, the same Earth

At the age of five, I moved from the Solomon Islands to New Zealand with my mother and siblings. Despite the colder climate, Nature's presence was still very much a part of our lives.

These environments instilled in me a deep understanding that I am Nature — connected to everything from the birds and bees to the trees and mountains.

Dance, art, and Nature became my refuge.
They were my escape — and my home.

iii The Storm Inside

What I carried, what carried me

My connection to Nature was complemented by a strong sense of ancestral guidance, with roots in the Solomon Islands on my father's side and Irish and Scottish heritage on my mother's.

Growing up with a mother who had bipolar disorder, dealing with an absent father, surviving a devastating earthquake, and experiencing a divorce — these were the storms that shaped me. Dance, art, and Nature became my refuge, offering solace amidst chaos.

iv What Movement Taught Me

Reclaiming the body

The aftermath of a deadly earthquake in Christchurch intensified my need for movement. My marriage ended, plunging me into deep heartache.

To navigate the pain, I immersed myself in Olympic weightlifting, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — reclaiming my sense of power and resilience. My love for dance and art never waned. They remained my healing tools, helping me express and release my pain.

v The Awakening

When the soul began to speak

In 2019, after my first spiritual awakening, I delved deeper into my soul — embracing healing practices that released trapped energy through dance, stretching, yoga, singing, and affirmations.

I attended my first Vipassana retreat, followed by three more in New Zealand and England. These experiences taught me to heal through the chakras and meditation — a journey I am now ready to guide others through.

vi Today

Holding space, with pure intention

Today, my number one priority is my peace, health, and well-being. My lifestyle reflects this commitment.

I create work infused with pure intentions, inspired by the beauty that lifted my spirits during my darkest days. Through my life journey and the wisdom I've acquired, I am now ready to help others on their own paths — with love, and pure intentions.

The Work

Four doorways

Two standalone offerings. Two release ceremonies.
All available 1-on-1 or in small groups of 4–5 women.

Cacao Circle

1 hour · standalone

For anyone called to opening their heart — to grief, to love, to themselves.

Solomon Island cacao — heart medicine of my ancestors. We sit together with prepared cacao, breath, and intention. The cacao opens the heart space. The container holds you while what wants to surface rises gently to be witnessed.

1-on-1: £44–66
Small group (4–5 women): £22–33 per person
Begin the conversation

Somatic Movement

1 hour · standalone

For women returning to their bodies after a hard period or trauma.

The body as the doorway to release. Slow, embodied movement that draws on somatic practice, intuitive flow, and gentle strength. The body releases what the mind can't reach. We move what wants to move.

1-on-1: £44–66
Small group (4–5 women): £22–33 per person
Begin the conversation

Yin Release

2 hours · cacao + meditation + journaling

For when words and reflection are the doorway. When the body needs gentleness, not movement.

For those who need to name and reflect through writing. We open with cacao to soften the heart, settle into meditation to bridge into reflection, then move through guided journaling to name what's being carried. Optional fire ritual to burn what was written.

1-on-1: £88–122
Small group (4–5 women): £55–66 per person
Begin the conversation

Yang Release

2 hours · cacao + meditation + somatic movement

For when the body is asking to move energy out. When stillness feels like more pressure on a body already exhausted.

For those who need to move energy out through the body. We open with cacao to soften the heart, settle into meditation to bridge into the body, then move through somatic work to release what's been held. The body shakes free what the mind can't reach.

1-on-1: £88–122

What to expect

From first message to integration

These are sacred containers, not transactions. Here's what the rhythm looks like, so nothing about working together is hidden.

i

Reach out

Fill the form. Share what's calling you. I read every message personally — I'll be in touch within a week.

ii

We meet first

A short conversation by message or call to feel into whether the work is right for you. No pressure. Honest yes or no.

iii

The ceremony

Held privately at the agreed time. Cacao prepared with care. The container opens. What wants to move, moves. What wants to be named, gets named.

iv

Integration

We close gently. You leave with what arose. I'm here for follow-up questions in the days after — that part matters.

What people say

I always loved being in Louisa's presence. Whether in her classes or boot camps in the park. She somehow always manages to be full energy, without being in your face, and yet she would match your own energy for the day and make you feel safe and ready to work, no matter how you were feeling beforehand. She motivates without pushing, and that is a skill I've never seen or felt anywhere else.

After having my first daughter, I quickly found postpartum to be a very lonely time. Particularly when most exercise/dance/sound meditation classes don't allow babies. Louisa contacted me about joining for a meditation flow that involved free movement, meditation, sound healing & being emerged in nature. Best part of it was that baby could come with me. This ended up being my favourite class to look forward to as it was truly magnificent to connect with my baby & the energies around me whilst guided through a calming flow. The energy Louisa brings is infectious & I had to keep coming back for more! What I liked most was being guided to do what I felt like doing, which was different to a lot of classes I've attended before. I'd recommend anyone to join Lou on her journey!

Lou will add to your life — her connection to the earth mother and what she does will leave you refreshed and coming back for more.

Louisa provided beautiful sacred space for healing and embodiment during our energy session. She holds such a vibrant energy within the session that really lifted my Spirit. I could feel her heart space passion all throughout the sound journey yoga and dance session. After the practice I felt so connected and grounded with earth and source. Thank you for your magic sweet Louisa. I would recommend you to any and all of my friends and family.

Louisa's sessions have been just what I needed. I always leave feeling more connected to more myself, with a peaceful inner knowing and excitement. They are fun, real, authentic, healing, and honest.

Honest questions

Things you might be wondering

I've never done ceremony work before — is this for me?
Yes. Many of the women I hold space for are arriving for the first time. There's nothing to prepare. You don't need to have read anything, learned anything, or "done the work" before. You just need to be honest with yourself about what's calling you.
Is this religious or spiritual in a way I have to believe in?
The work is rooted in indigenous and ancestral practice — Solomon Island cacao traditions, breath, body wisdom — but it isn't a religion and you don't need to believe anything specific. People arrive from every faith and from no faith. The body's intelligence works regardless of what you believe.
What if I cry, shake, or have a strong reaction?
That's the work. Crying, shaking, laughing, grief — these are the body releasing what it's been holding. Nothing about it is wrong or alarming. I'm trained to hold space for whatever arises. You won't be alone in it.
Can I do this online, or only in person?
Cacao Circle, Somatic Movement, Yin Release, and parts of Yang Release can all be held online via video call — I send guidance for preparing your own cacao at home. Fire ritual within Yin Release, and full embodied Yang Release, are best held in person. We can talk about what's right for you when you reach out.
Is the cacao safe? Are there contraindications?
Ceremonial cacao is generally safe but it has real effects on the cardiovascular system. There are contraindications — particularly with antidepressants (especially SSRIs and MAOIs) and with high blood pressure medication. If you take any medication or have heart conditions, please tell me before we book. We may adjust the dose or use a non-cacao alternative.
How is this different from therapy?
I'm not a therapist — this is ceremony work, body work, and held space. It complements therapy beautifully but it isn't a replacement for clinical support if you're navigating active mental health crisis or trauma that needs trained therapeutic care. If you're unsure, message me — I'll be honest about whether this is the right step for where you are.
What does "small group" mean?
Maximum five women. Ever. I keep groups small on purpose — it's the only way to hold real ceremony rather than performance. You'll know everyone's name. The container will hold you specifically, not just generically.
What about cancellation?
48 hours notice for full refund. Less than 48 hours, your payment is held as credit toward a future session. Life happens — I'd rather you reschedule than push through when the timing isn't right.
